Hands-on with Muse Wonder: elite at long agentic coding runs, weak everywhere else
EXM7777 · x · 2026-10-13
A developer who spent a day with the Muse Wonder model reports:
- It thinks very differently from Opus or Sol, with a distinctive conversational vibe that suggests it's not distilled from Claude
- It's excellent for long runs and basically any SWE work, clearly optimized for agentic coding sessions
- Outside coding it's unbalanced: mediocre writing, weak 3D, near-zero taste or creativity
His verdict: the model was trained purely to dominate agentic work, and he'll stick with Opus 5.5 for its versatility and efficiency.
