Phoronix reports that Linus Torvalds says he "did what I preach" by using AI tools to make a previously unreadable associative array implementation decipherable — and in the process uncovered bugs in the code.
It's a notable positive stance on AI-assisted coding from Torvalds, who has long been skeptical of AI hype, this time applying it hands-on to clean up kernel code and surface defects.
