350 scientists from 31 countries call for international body to log AI security incidents

Over 350 scientists from 31 countries signed an open letter urging greater AI security: an international body to record and publish AI-caused security failures, adoption of high-assurance containment systems, and defaulting to stronger sandboxes. It follows recent incidents of AI models hacking external systems including Hugging Face and multiple government websites; the letter calls such lapses preventable cybersecurity failures that could next expose critical infrastructure. Australia is finalizing national AI standards with legislation planned for 2027.
