Ex-Apple engineer eyeing Surface with NVIDIA RTX Spark: 128GB + CUDA in a backpack
LinusEkenstam · x · 2026-10-13
Ray Fernando, who spent 12+ years building Apple products, says CUDA—the dependency of most AI tools—is what's pulling him toward a Windows laptop. The Surface Laptop with NVIDIA RTX Spark packs 128GB of memory and CUDA support into a portable form factor. He's positive on paper and will live on it for a week before deciding whether to switch. The unit was provided by Surface and NVIDIA for testing.
