Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing: GPT-6 shows strong results on robots, mass deployment barriers solvable in years
haider1 · x · 2026-10-13
Unitree Robotics CEO Wang Xingxing said GPT-6 has been tested on various robots across a range of tasks with "very good" results, and that Unitree and other robotics companies are running pilot deployments in factories while preparing for large-scale applications.
He acknowledged that generalization and efficiency still need improvement, but believes these barriers could be solved within the next few years — with commercial service deployment possibly arriving even faster than industrial use.
He also admitted his biggest mistake over the past decade was not believing in AI enough, and suggested GPT-7 could entirely solve the challenges of embodied AI.
