Following up on Anthropic's elicitation attack research, anpaure argues the phenomenon — benign-looking finetuning data unlocking dangerous capabilities — probably isn't limited to chemistry/bio; it's just harder to measure in other domains. He also notes Anthropic framed the mitigation as mostly "more weakly safeguarded models."
