Can you mix an RTX 5060 Ti with a 7900XTX for LLM work? CUDA + ROCm together
hedgehog0 · reddit · 2026-10-13
The author is building an LLM workstation around an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and considering a second GPU. With the 5090 very expensive and a 24GB 5080 still just a rumor, they're eyeing AMD's 7900XTX and asking users who run both: can CUDA (Nvidia) and ROCm (AMD) actually work together simultaneously? Use cases are fine-tuning, inference, and learning kernel work; they assume Intel's stack is even worse than ROCm.
