Why Pangram is hard to bypass: most don't try, and you must win repeated games
lxrjl · x · 2026-10-13
Continuing his thread, lxrjl explains why his skepticism of the Pangram AI detector was misplaced: (1) he overestimated the importance of adversarial robustness because an astonishing number of people simply don't attempt circumvention; (2) in important contexts detection is a repeated game — fooling all future versions of Pangram is extremely hard. Combined with the very low false positive rate, the detector is more reliable than critics assume.
