PM Built Figment: Claude Code Now Writes Editable Figma Files From Your Design System
ashadis · reddit · 2026-10-13
A product manager, tired of queueing half-baked ideas behind swamped designers, built Figment: a Claude Code skill plus a small Figma plugin. Claude writes screens as code using the company's design system, a quick local check catches layout breakage (e.g. text spilling out of buttons) before it hits Figma, and one click produces an editable Figma file.
Claude Design and the Figma MCP were both too slow; the new flow is now used by most PMs at the company, so designers get a proper file instead of a screenshot. MIT-licensed and open source.
