Open-source .char format keeps characters consistent across video, voice included
ashishsanu · reddit · 2026-10-13
A Reddit developer released .char (OmniChar), a portable consistent-character format with a community character page for ready-made use. Key points:
- Same face, body and clothing across every video generation
- MiniMax H3 integration: a few seconds of voice sample yields a consistent cloned voice with lip sync
- Usable via ComfyUI nodes, the OmniChar app, or cloud; works with Flux2 and Krea2
The repo and ComfyUI node are open source, with a detailed guide for building full consistent characters.
