Reuters numbers show Huawei closing in on Nvidia in China's data-center AI chip market: in H1 2026 Nvidia shipped 678,000 accelerators (down 44% YoY) for 34% share, while Huawei shipped 572,000 for 28% — just six points behind. US export restrictions limit what Nvidia can sell as Beijing pushes buyers toward domestic alternatives.
