Dario Amodei: AI could automate most of software engineering within 6-12 months

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei reiterated his prediction that within 6-12 months, AI models will be able to do 'most, maybe all' of what software engineers do end-to-end, shifting engineers into an editor role.
Quote-tweeter @axelpond noted Dario was once called a snake oil salesman for such claims, and that those who dismissed lab warnings as marketing have largely never admitted they were wrong.
