Anthropic says it has significantly blunted distillation attacks against Claude
AlexTensor · x · 2026-10-13
Anthropic announced significant progress in reducing the effectiveness of distillation attacks against Claude, publishing a post explaining how.
The post circulated alongside David Sacks' criticism of Anthropic's apparent double standard: claiming a right to train on the world's output for free even over authors' objections, while calling competitors' paid use of Claude outputs for training "IP theft."
