Scoble: A 2018 Model 3 on HW3 Now Drives Nearly Like a Cybercab After FSD 14.3 Update
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-13
Robert Scoble reports that his friend's 2018 Model 3 — one of the first 10,000 built, running Hardware 3 — became nearly indistinguishable from a Cybercab after a FSD 14.3 Lite update. He argues a distilled model running on cheap cameras and an old computer shows how far Tesla's underrated autonomy team has come.
He also shares Austin-area notes: Timeglass, software that tracks your work time for lawyers; Graham Weston working with the Boring Company on a San Antonio–Austin tunnel that would cut travel to 30 minutes; and a Gigafactory tour guide claiming a Roadster production line is being built ahead of a Thursday announcement. Scoble speculates 5,000 Roadsters at 150 mph in tunnels could reshape San Antonio real estate.
