Race to build OBS agents: two devs independently ship Rust OBS rewrite with MCP control

Developer jasonkneen posted about a competitor collision: ryanvogel is rewriting OBS in Rust and shared his design approach, arguing that rewriting OBS is hard but designing it isn't.
jasonkneen says his own project in the same space is 95% done and he's rushing to ship a "native OBS agent + MCP-first streaming app" first. The OBS agent + MCP combo points to AI agents controlling live-streaming scenes via MCP — a new signal of agents entering creator workflows.
