NVIDIA maps France's AI ecosystem: 50-satellite constellation, Bull to build Vera Rubin servers
nvidia · x · 2026-10-13
NVIDIA's blog post details how France's AI ecosystem has moved from ambition to application:
- Sovereign compute: Bull is extending European AI server production to NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems (planned 2028), with trays made in Europe and rack integration at its newly inaugurated Angers factory.
- AI in orbit: Altair-1, first satellite of a $1 billion, 50-satellite constellation integrated by Loft Orbital, launched this month carrying NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin modules running Mistral models for autonomous Earth observation.
- Open models: NVIDIA Nemotron open models are in production at French organizations like LINAGORA and Docaposte for sovereign, trustworthy data workloads.
The post spans space, financial services, public sector, and research deployments of agentic computing.
