madebyollin released texture-fix-vae-for-qwen-image-2.1 on Hugging Face, a VAE specifically trained to remove the checkerboard artifacts Qwen-Image 2.1 produces.
- The poster used it for days and says it works surprisingly well
- Alternative schedulers/samplers/degrid can further improve outputs, but the VAE alone is sufficient
A drop-in fix the Qwen-Image community had been waiting for.
