Half of eval startups now treat every model release as Beta, not production-ready

An industry observer notes that a whole ecosystem of well-funded startups now exists solely to eval newly released models and verify whether they actually perform as scored.
He suspects 50% or more of them already treat all model releases as the Beta channel — refusing to consider a model production-ready until it has been in the market for at least several months. Frontier iteration speed has eroded trust in launch-day benchmark numbers.
