Meta's Muse Wonder bets on Active Memory to fix forgetful AI agents

Mark Zuckerberg and Meta's chief AI officer Alexandr Wang reportedly believe one of the biggest problems holding back personal AI agents is that they keep forgetting things about you. Meta's new Muse Wonder model introduces Active Memory, designed to recall conversation details from weeks or months earlier when actually useful — and it's not just a bigger context window. Wang says the model is trained to manage its own memories, deciding what matters and retrieving it on demand. Ben Bajarin adds that memory innovation alone won't solve this; that's the goal of the scale-up/scale-out compute domain.
