AI is rebuilding every workflow, and the FDE role is blurring engineering, product and sales

Drawing on SF Tech Week observations, the author argues AI is entering every industry and workflow — the better question is which workflow hasn't been rebuilt yet.
A recurring term is FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer), a role blurring the lines between engineering, product, consulting and sales. The valuable skill set: talking to customers, understanding business problems, collaborating with engineers, turning vague requirements into shippable products. FDE is less a job title than a survival skill.
