Unitree CEO: GPT-6 works "very well" on robots, GPT-7 may unlock mass deployment
141_1337 · reddit · 2026-10-13
Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing said GPT-6 has been tested on a range of robots across many tasks with results that are "actually very good," and that Unitree and other robotics companies are already running pilot deployments in factories. Generalization and efficiency still need improvement for mass adoption, but he believes these could be resolved within a few years—possibly by GPT-7.
He also admitted his biggest mistake over the past decade was not believing in AI enough, and that commercial service deployments may arrive even faster than industrial ones.
