Scarlet announced a $50M Series B led by Headline to build a global AI certification body for medical technology companies. Demand for AI medical device certification surged over the past year; customers have cut a year or more from certification timelines for new AI-enabled devices and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks. The round will fund expert hiring, broader certification coverage, and expansion in the US and APAC. The company stresses that AI medical tech must be safe and deliver real benefits to clinicians and patients to be adopted.
