Early tester: Meta's new "Watermelon" model aces trick questions and self-checks code
kimmonismus · x · 2026-10-13

Verdict: trick questions don't fool it, it follows instructions to the word, and as a coding agent it writes, runs and verifies its own code. Creative writing is still a bit dry, but he calls it "as good as the benchmarks make it look"—and the eval scores surprised him positively since he hadn't seen them in advance.
