Linux Foundation launches PyTorch Certified Associate pathway with 15-17 hours of modules
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-13
The Linux Foundation and the PyTorch community have packaged a new PyTorch Certified Associate (PTCA) Certification Pathway combining four self-paced modules — Fundamentals, Data Handling, Model Development, and Optimizing PyTorch — with the PTCA exam in one product. The roughly 15-17 hours of learning and labs cover tensors and devices, Datasets and DataLoaders, building networks with layers and optimizers, and performance tools like torch.compile, Automatic Mixed Precision, the Profiler, and distributed training concepts. PTCA targets early-stage practitioners with existing Python and ML experience, and the PyTorch Foundation recommends hands-on practice beyond coursework before sitting the exam.
