Keurig coffee maker flooded Wi-Fi with 1TB in 10 days — owner says unit bug

A man found his parents' Keurig smart coffee maker had pushed 1TB of data in 10 days, saturating their Wi-Fi. The owner, an IT veteran now at Prusa, clarified the unit did broadcast 1TB but most traffic never left the LAN — likely a per-unit bug, though it did saturate the AP. Others noted Keurig's connected brewers use Azure IoT Central and do make outside connections, so the broader point about needless IoT connectivity stands.
