Crimsonland Remake 0.15 Ships Custom Quest Language and Uncompressed 2004 Source Art
banteg · x · 2026-10-13
The browser-playable Crimsonland remake has released version 0.15 with two notable updates.
- A quest compiler for the Python version: custom quests are authored in a new expressive language capable of describing all 50 stock quests, with extra examples included. Run via crimson --custom-quest mycustom.quest; no visual editor yet, and web support for custom quests is coming later. It lets players rearrange the original's enemies into entirely new encounters.
- Uncompressed source art recovered: Tero of 10tons supplied the uncompressed art from a 2004 arcade version, so nearly all sprites and UI now use the masters, eliminating the compression artifacts of the shipped game.
