Claude desktop voice dictation bug sends dictated text twice after typing one character
rugikratos77-sys · ghdev · 2026-10-09
- A user dictated a long message in the Claude desktop app's Code tab (macOS), typed a single "?" by hand, and pressed Enter.
- The sent message contained the dictation twice: the full text plus "?", followed by a second copy of most of it — shaped like A + B + "?" + ", " + B + "?".
- The author suspects a pending dictation segment was re-inserted instead of replaced when typing or pressing Enter.
- Seen once on Claude 2.26454.2 / Claude Code 2.1.293 / macOS 26.6.2, not yet reproduced; possibly related to #79049 (dictation duplicating interim segments on Windows, Chinese).
