Stagehand 4.2 adds WebMCP hooks, letting browser agents invoke tools on the fly
jeff_weinstein · x · 2026-10-13
Browserbase's Stagehand 4.2 introduces WebMCP hooks: browser agents can now auto-detect and invoke WebMCP tools as pages change, without polling for new tools. The demo shows agents interacting with Stripe checkout pages directly. The release also adds programmatic PDF export and more developer controls — a notable step toward 'web pages as tools' in the MCP ecosystem.
