clearcam: open-source AI adds detection, tracking and LLM summaries to any security camera

clearcam, an open-source GitHub project (1.6k stars, GPL-3.0), brings AI to any RTSP-capable security camera:
- Object detection & tracking using YOLOv9 plus an OC-SORT tracker, with zone editing and detection thresholds
- AI notification summaries via Qwen3 VL, pushing plain-language mobile alerts (e.g. "a person in a hoodie is walking on a gravel driveway")
- Event search: detected events are browsable and searchable per camera
- Self-hosted: runs on Mac/Linux/Windows with ffmpeg and Python 3.11+
The repo includes a demo video and a public camera feed so users without RTSP hardware can try it out.
