Readme team launches Restless: self-improving APIs with live logs and agent recovery
testingcatalog · x · 2026-10-13
Restless, built by Greg Koberger and the Readme team, makes APIs 'self-improving': set up with npx restless init (runnable by the user, Claude Code, or Codex), it logs requests and responses live tied to customer accounts, lets agents search and replay their own API calls via a hosted MCP server, and lets agents flag broken features as Linear issues. Its thesis: agents now make up 72% of traffic to API docs, and Agent Recovery explains fixes inside error responses so agents can recover on their own.
