DGX Monarch Open-Sourced: Dual Spark Cluster ComfyUI Rendering With Nearly 2x Speedup
Historical-Internal3 · reddit · 2026-10-13
Developer Deen-Media open-sourced DGX Monarch, which lets a dual Spark cluster work together for image/video generation in ComfyUI, delivering close to a 2x render speedup depending on model and settings. It supports BF16/FP8/NVFP4/INT8 but not GGUF. Repo: github.com/Deen-Media/dgx-monarch.
Built since April with heavy AI assistance, the author's own time went mostly into validating outputs and performance. He declines to share his personal AI-agent dev workflows, arguing such workflows should be self-tailored, and asks that AI-generated PRs come with actual rendered/tested results.
Maintenance costs: he transparently reports the project drains multiple premium subscriptions weekly — an OpenAI Astra $500 account, Anthropic/Cursor $200 accounts and a Google Ultra $250 account. His takeaway: vibe-coding a small project is easy, but vibe-maintaining a large one is very hard and expensive.
