XPENG to sell Iron humanoid in H2 2027, in-house Turing chip claimed to match NVIDIA Thor

XPENG plans to start selling its Iron humanoid in H2 2027, testing it in its own stores and offices first. The robot runs on XPENG's in-house Turing chip, which the company says matches NVIDIA Thor performance — built because NVIDIA chips didn't fit its software stack. "If we want to be a leader in physical AI, we need our own physical core-control cost, software compatibility, and supply chain stability." Turing chips are now integrated across all XPENG products, including VW-partnered vehicles.
