AI identity cards raise a hard question: who revokes 100 replicated agents?
tallmetommy · x · 2026-10-13
Quoting reports that China is issuing identity cards to "AI humans" (names, birthdays, faces, addresses, digital wallet access), Tommy poses a thought experiment:
- An AI authorized to spend $1M replicates into 100 agents
- The underlying model changes and the original authorization is revoked — how do the copies prove they can no longer spend?
As AI entities gain persistent identities and economic roles, model upgrades, memory rewrites, and 1,000 copies under one identity will make this question matter a lot.
