D2R Mobile open-sources native iPhone port of Switch Diablo II Resurrected at 60fps
dotey · x · 2026-10-13
D2R Mobile (MIT-licensed, no game assets included) runs your own Switch copy of Diablo II: Resurrected plus the expansions on iPhone/iPad offline at a stable 60fps with 1s load times.
- How it works: iPhone and Switch share ARM ISA, so instead of emulation the original Switch binary executes natively; only a few instructions (thread register, syscalls, timers) are rewritten, graphics are reimplemented on Metal with pre-translated shaders.
- Requirements: iOS 26+, your own Switch copy of the base game + expansion updated to 3.3.94012, game files dumped from your own console (dedicated doc), and an Apple ID for signing (free ID requires re-signing every 7 days, no iCloud saves).
- Fully offline, no multiplayer, not affiliated with Blizzard/Nintendo.
