Open-source desk robot Lamp ships at $499 with Jev reasoning router and ElevenLabs voice

- Autonomous Lamp, an open-source companion desk robot, has started shipping at an intro price of $499 (down from $999), with multiple colorways, free engraving, 30-day returns and a 1-year warranty.
- Project updates highlight two technical details: a Jev classifier layer that decides which requests need deeper reasoning — simple asks are answered locally and instantly, only complex ones escalate to the main model — and integration of ElevenLabs Eleven v3 for noticeably more emotional voice interactions.
- The author shared a full exploded-parts photo (servos, camera module, main board, LED ring, speakers), giving a complete look at the open-source hardware.
