InfernoSIM v4.2 Adds Targeted Fault Injection for Parallel MCP and Tool Calls
pranaysparihar · reddit · 2026-10-12
InfernoSIM, a local reliability-testing tool for tool-using agents, released v4.2 adding targeted faults on individual calls within parallel tool-call streams.
Key additions: a shared scheduler for concurrent HTTP and MCP stdio replay, automatic causal-dependency discovery with repeatable schedules, per-call argument corruption/removal in supported OpenAI/Anthropic/Ollama streams, cancellation and progress correlation across changing JSON-RPC IDs, and reduced failing cases preserved as portable regression tests with dependency graphs and execution evidence.
Use cases include testing cancellation during concurrent work, retries after a committed operation loses its response, or bad arguments in one call of a parallel response. Validated with the official Go SDK. MIT-licensed, runs locally. Repo: github.com/pranaysparihar/InfernoSIM.
