ColGrep-Agent-2B: a local code-search agent that cuts 34% of API tokens
IgorCarron · x · 2026-10-12
AmelieTabatta's team released ColGrep-Agent-2B, a small code-search agent that runs fully locally. Instead of burning tokens letting your main coding agent run grep, you hand search to this tiny model: it searches with ColGrep, reads files, and returns locations plus code snippets back to the main agent — saving roughly 34% of API tokens in practice.
