IgorCarron · x · 2026-10-12
AmelieTabatta's team benchmarked different code-search tools inside Claude Code (Sonnet 5.5) across 52 code-search questions over 13 recent repos — recent repos were chosen to avoid the model answering from memorization.
Tools compared: grep, ColGrep, ColGrep-Agent, and a Balanced mode where Claude picks between the latter two. This is a hands-on eval of the retrieval step in agentic coding workflows.
