Broadcom and Intel CEOs warn capital, not chips, may become AI's biggest bottleneck through 2030

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan argued at the DBS Asia Future Forward conference that capital—not chips, memory, or power—may become AI's biggest constraint: data centers and chips must be paid for years before earning anything, and higher bond yields raise that cost.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan flagged the same pressure, calling "capital and the cost of capital" the front-line challenge, saying investors will eventually demand ROI.
Neither sees demand cooling: Tan says compute demand outstrips supply and could stay that way through 2029, possibly into 2030.
