Converting agent traces to Perfetto format to visualize and speed up slow tool calls
DanielLockyer · x · 2026-10-12
Daniel Lockyer had AI write him a tool that converts agent traces into Perfetto trace format, letting him visualize specific sessions and then work with AI to identify which tool calls are slow and worth optimizing.
He notes a visualization tool isn't strictly necessary — the agent can parse the trace itself — but seeing it himself is a nice bonus.
