diff-tour: an open-source TUI that teaches you to read AI-written code like a senior engineer
4310sy · x · 2026-10-12
Developer Dai Aoki released diff-tour, an open-source read-only TUI that turns a git diff into a guided tour of how a senior engineer would read the change — aimed at developers anxious about not understanding AI-generated code.
- Installs with one command and works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini.
- Demo tour walks through a coupon-feature branch: what the change is for, how the usage limit is enforced, plus a thought question and its answer (applying a coupon twice to one order uses it up twice).
- Written in Go, MIT-licensed, early release with the tour format still subject to change; 13 stars on GitHub so far.
