Using AI in domains you don't know: force research and reference-hunting first
iamsahaj_xyz · x · 2026-10-12
The author argues that while you can spot AI's mistakes and shortcuts in domains you know, in unfamiliar domains you must extrapolate those tendencies blindly, even when results look impressive. His remedies: (1) take time to understand what the AI is doing and apply your intuitions, and (2) have it first research and gather high-quality reference points. Ideally do both for the best long-term results.
