Dev builds GTA-style Toronto courier game for Game Boy Color with Codex, open-sources it
OpenAIDevs · x · 2026-10-12
Developer @haithehuman used Codex to build Toronto Dispatch, a top-down courier game for the Modretro Chromatic (Game Boy Color-compatible handheld) he received at OpenAI DevDay. The pixel-art game delivers GTA II vibes: package deliveries, traffic weaving, and on-foot exploration in Toronto. It's open source under MIT, built on GB Studio plus a custom C engine extension, with a fully engineered repo (AGENTS.md, skills, tests, CI).
