CNN reports the National Hurricane Center is betting on AI weather models for Hurricane Isaias forecasting. A PolarWs forecast map shows AI ensemble tracks (GenCast, AIFS, etc., red dotted) plotted alongside physical models (GFS, ECMWF, etc.), with visibly different path clusters — a sign AI weather models are entering operational forecasting at official agencies.
