Agent platform pivots to OpenAI-compatible hosting after users rejected its all-in-one SDK

An agent hosting platform shares its post-mortem: version 1.0 tried to pull users into its ecosystem with agent pods, workflows, a memory bank and SDKs in three languages, but users already had their own frameworks or hand-rolled loops — they just wanted someone to keep agents running.

Version 2.0 drops all of that and speaks the OpenAI Agents API shape: existing openai-package users only change the base URL, while any model (Claude, Gemini, open-weight, OpenRouter, or user's own key) can sit behind it. The platform now focuses on three things:

Underneath is the same open-source, token-frugal harness from their earlier post where 100 agents updated their docs. The company makes nothing on tokens: credits are OpenRouter price plus its top-up fee, own-key users pay providers directly, and revenue comes from plans and machine time.
