Why this dev moved to Opus 5.5 but keeps GPT-6 for one irreplaceable job

A developer moved most daily work from GPT-6 to Opus 5.5 and shared his multi-model stack:
Why Opus stayed
- Generous quotas — no more hitting walls, which changed how he works
- Fast, minimal rework
- Surprisingly good "taste": running a Codex-built project through Opus produced cleaner UI spacing and hierarchy
Where GPT-6 still wins: computer use. He makes fixed-format slide decks for traditional management that can't be one-shotted — GPT-6 clicks through and verifies layouts.
The rest of the stack: Codex for exploring open-source repos, plus a local model plugged into Codex for dumb grunt work (fast and free).
Net result: one AI became three, each with a distinct role.
