French Parcoursup Admissions Algorithm Accused of Dodging Public-Algorithm Transparency Law
Loo_Atreides · x · 2026-10-12
A French thread dissects Parcoursup's legal design: the 2018 ORE law grants a right to have your application reviewed but not to understand the decision, and expressly exempts admissions commissions from the 2016 CRPA article L311-3-1 requiring explanation of algorithmic individual decisions. With CADA (2019) and the Guadeloupe administrative court rulings cited, the author argues the state offers no real remedy: 'That isn't a bug, it's the design.'
