Leak: Google may have shelved Flash-Lite updates and jumped straight to Gemini 4
lyraxana · x · 2026-10-12
According to a checkpoint-tracking leak, Google had planned a 3.x Flash-Lite update, not Gemini 4: teamfood checkpoint abc-hillclimbing (Sept 3) and internal checkpoints moonbrook and sunspire (Sept 4-5) appeared. But no further Flash-Lite checkpoints surfaced after sunspire, suggesting Google either abandoned Flash-Lite or skipped straight to Gemini 4. Unverified. Unconfirmed leak.
