Haiku 5.5 costs 75% less than 4.5, but shines only as a subagent under Opus 5.5

Anthropic has shipped Haiku 5.5 in the Claude Platform and Claude Code, running on average 75% cheaper than Haiku 4.5. It's aimed at high-volume, cost-sensitive tasks like summaries, compactions, and database queries, and pairs well as a subagent under Opus 5.5 or Sonnet 5.5.
@setipark's hands-on take: Haiku 5.5 High looks mediocre standalone but is a beast when used as a subagent under Opus 5.5 — worth testing with Opus evaluating its real utility.
