Personal Agents Know Why You Clicked, Not Just What — Data Portability Is the First Filter
sujingshen · x · 2026-10-12
The author argues that personal agents access a different magnitude of private data than big data did: not just what you clicked, but why you clicked, who you discussed it with, and how you finally decided.
So when picking such products, his first criterion is whether the data can be fully exported — to hedge against privacy lock-in.
The quoted post adds that privacy requirements clash badly with personal agent products, and that agents modeled on 'personal secretaries' could drift toward companionship products, which current Chinese policy disallows.
